New Year celebrations in North Korea were more flop than fantastic as this video shows.
The fireworks were put on by the famously secretive state at the Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang.
But they failed to live up to some of tonight’s displays after being overshadowed by the incredible fireworks in Sydney, Hong Kong and other cities around the world.
The footage, from state-run television show KRT, showed people watching the 15-minute long effort put on by Kim Jong-Un’s government.
Small fireworks failed to illuminate the whole sky, and thin streamers of coloured fire shot up from the ground.
Crowds cheered and clapped along to the show which featured a small variety of fireworks.
But the show did nothing to rival some of the incredible efforts already seen tonight.
